Description

Introduction to concepts and methods for managing production and service operations. Topics include demand forecasting, aggregate and capacity planning, inventory management, facility layout and location, just-in-time, managing quality, project planning, resource allocation, and logistics. Emphasis on models to support decision making.

Outcome: Understanding of role of operations management in organizations, and the ability to use the modleing tools and techniques for problem-solving in operations management.
